PT Kimia Farma Sungwun Pharmacopia, or abbreviated as KFSP, is a subsidiary of PT Kimia Farma Tbk. which is engaged in manufacturing raw materials, both active pharmaceutical raw materials and other chemical raw materials. KFSP is a Joint Venture between PT Kimia Farma Tbk. with Sungwun Pharmacopia Co Ltd. with the composition of shareholders of PT Kimia Farma Tbk. by 80.67% and Sungwun Pharmacopia Co Ltd. by 19.33%.

The establishment of KFSP is PT Kimia Farma Tbk’s first step in supporting pharmaceutical independence through reducing imports of raw materials as stated on President Instruction No. 6/2016.

As a raw material producer, KFSP has succeeded in developing several pharmaceutical raw material products, namely Simvastatin, Atorvastatin, Clopidogrel, Entecavir, Efavirenz, Lamivudine, Zidovudine, Tenofovir, Rosuvastatin, Gefitinib, and Remdesivir. In addition to pharmaceutical raw materials, KFSP also produces other raw materials such as Palmitic Acid Mixtures, Lauroyl Lysine, Cholesteryl Chloride, Cholesterol Nonanoate, Ethyl-hexanoic Acid Mixture (EG) and Lauroyl Glutamide Mixture (LG). These products have successfully penetrated the South Korean export market as cosmetic raw materials.

Some of the awards that have been received by KFSP are the Karya Anak Bangsa Award from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2018), the Indi 4.0 Charter from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry (2019), the Innovation Award from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2019), the Indi 4.0 Award from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry (2020).
